... And the verdict is ....
Yep, it's a boy! I think Justin just about fell off of his chair to find out we are getting a little man. He is so excited! He's already taking after his father - it took the doctor ten minutes and a lot of shaking of my tummy to get the baby to move enough to see who he is! A little trouble maker for sure. Everything looks great and baby and mom are both healthy and doing well. I am now 21 weeks pregnant! Can't wait for February 21st to come. :)

The Start of a New Adventure
It's official! We're pregnant! I am 13 weeks along and we will find out on Sept 1st if it is a boy or girl. We decided not to announce it until we were a little further along because I was worried about miscarrying. We had our first doctor's appt on July 28 and we were told everything is looking great. Our little peanut looks like a human now! We are so excited and will keep you all updated on our news!

Eric Heatherly Concert in the Mountains 07/24/10
My sister Becky invited Justin and I to go to a concert in the mountains last night. We had a blast with my sister and three of her kids. Eric Heatherly is a great performer and the area was beautiful. Here are a couple pictures!

A Man's Version of Ironing Pants ...
Now this could be dangerous (DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!) ... Justin put on a pair of jeans and decided the piece that covers the zipper looked weird. I told him I would iron it down if he wanted but he insisted he could do it. Here is the end result of a man ironing the crotch on a pair of jeans:

Wee Care Pediatrics
My work surprised me with a party on Friday to congratulate Justin and me. They had everyone in the breakroom waiting for me with decorations, cake, and presents. I had no idea they were planning anything but was grateful that they would take the time to plan something. I had wanted to keep it low key to keep them from planning a party but they told me they just couldn't resist. Crazy girls. One of the girls I work with is a master baker. She got in touch with my sister and asked her what my favorite cake is. She, of course, told her Oreo ice cream and this was the result. Let's just say this huge cake didn't last long!

The BIG Day!
I married my best friend today! My mom, two sisters (Becky and Ann), my nieces and nephews (Kaylee 10, Breckyn 6, and Ella and Gracie 5), Justin's brother (Caleb), and best friend (Maxedon) were all able to attend. We really missed a few important people in our lives that weren't able to attend and kept them there in our hearts and minds. We are looking forward to August 21 when we will be able to have everyone present for a ring ceremony/reception. Know that we love all of you and appreciate your support in our happy day!

Boys Will Be Boys ...

Justin's brother Caleb flew in on Wednesday to spend the week with us. Let's just say Caleb is a "mini-me" of Justin. They could pass as twins! They talk, walk, laugh, and act the same. I've sure had my hands full! Here are a few pictures of the boys doing boy things. Video games (Justin must be concentrating: his tongue is always sticking out when he concentrates); a drive through the canyon (which as you can see, quickly became a BAREFOOT hike for the boys); and a not-so-vacation job helping my mom take down Christmas lights and clean out gutters on her house (notice Justin is again barefoot). More to come tomorrow! We have plans to go back up the canyon and to Lagoon and then Monday is the BIG DAY!!

Save the Date!!
Alright, we have finally chosen a date! Justin's bother Caleb will be coming to visit on June 1st and my little sister will be back from Europe on June 5th so we have decided to go to the courthouse on Monday June 7th to get married. We will then have a small ceremony/reception for our close friends and families on August 21. We were thinking we would do a small backyard wedding and a BBQ afterward. Let the wedding plans begin!

Fishing!

ENGAGED!!
Justin and I had been talking about marriage for about a month and had done a little ring shopping. Monday afternoon I got a call from Justin while I was at work. He had called to tell me that he was told he was going to be stationed somewhere else and that we had to choose 8 places that we wanted to go. Upset, I tried to help Justin choose a few places. We talked about Arizona, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, and Florida. I left work and was on my way home when I got a phone call from Justin asking where I was. I told him I was on my way home and that I would be home in about 10 minutes. Justin was very adamant that I hurry. I thought it was probably because he wanted to talk about moving. I pulled in and walked up to the door. It was locked. Justin usually has the door unlocked for me when I get home so this was definitely out of the norm. I unlocked the door and opened it to find Justin on one knee holding a small box! He asked me to marry him and through my tears I said yes. I'm looking forward to the rest of my life with this wonderful man. I have never met anyone that I have more fun, silliness, and laughter with.
